Anabaronye Ken, from Imo State, is currently behind bars after a huge amount of illicit substance was detected in his stomach by a scanning machine at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria yesterday, June 4.
The Lagos-based auto-parts dealer was arrested by agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), after allegedly excreting up to 52 wraps of cocaine at the Lagos airport while trying to board Air France Airline en route to Milan, Italy.
NDLEA officials say the 36-year-old suspect swallowed up to 900gm worth of the illegal substance and defecated for good four days before all wraps were recovered.
According to Punch, Ken begged to be released before his pregnant wife delivers adding that, "I got into drug trafficking to take care of my family. I ingested 52 wraps of cocaine for a fee of 4,000 Euros".
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the anti-narcotic agency, Ahmadu Giade stated that, "Drug traffickers should be handed stiffer penalties to deter others from engaging in the criminal act."
So, it looks like our guy will not be leaving that jail any time soon! But wait, what the hell was he even thinking!? Na Wo ..
